Investing.com - British billionaire Sir James Dyson has announced plans to build his own electric car.
Dyson has already invested $1.34 billion to develop solid-state electric batteries,
And now announced a further $2 billion to design a prototype vehicle.
400 engineers are working on the project.
Dyson’s car would likely be a rival to Tesla.
And like Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, Dyson likes to make big promises.
He says his car will be “radically different” from current electric car models,
And that the auto business would outgrow the rest of his company “quickly”.
Despite starting from scratch, Dyson wants sales to start in 2020.
Looks like the electric car market is about to get more crowded.
