Investment Strategy
The option’s strategy is based on the belief that over the medium-to-long term, stock prices are driven by the ability of management to generate excess returns over their cost of capital in their chosen industry. The option utilises gearing to magnify returns from underlying investments. The option predominantly invests in Australian companies and therefore does not hedge currency risk. Where the option borrows in a foreign currency, proceeds will be fully hedged into Australian dollars.

| Biography | Marcus Fanning is the Head of Australian Equities, Growth for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’). Marcus has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian equities market, including Head of Australian Equities positions at BT Australian and AMP Henderson Asset Management.
