JAKARTA, Feb 28 (Reuters) -
* Indonesia and Australia on Monday will sign an economic partnership agreement that covers trade and investment, Indonesia's trade ministry said on Thursday.
* Simon Birmingham, Australia's minister for trade, tourism and investment will sign the deal alongside Indonesia's trade minister Enggartiasto Lukita in Jakarta, the ministry said.
* Negotiations on the deal were concluded last August after years of trade talks and an accord had been due to be signed by the end of 2018.
* There has been speculation that Australia's recognition of West Jerusalem as Israel's capital, which upset Indonesia, was behind the delay, though officials from both countries played down the issue and cited translation glitches as the cause.
* Australian frozen meats, live cattle, feed grains, dairy, citrus and rolled steel would receive favourable treatment under the agreement, Birmingham has previously said.
* Indonesia has expressed hopes it would attract Australian investors in university sector after relaxation of ownership rules under the deal.
