Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.24% or 220.0 points to trade at 10040.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.84% or 25.0 points to end at 1385.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.82% or 600.0 points to 33480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.98% or 0.5 points to trade at 24.7 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 1.19% or 160.0 points to end at 13340.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 0.97% or 6.0 points to 610.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.26% or 0.33 to $126.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 4.55% or 84.00 to hit $1932.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.63 to trade at $1242.17 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.08% to 3044.03, while BRL/COP fell 0.32% to 919.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.40.
