Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.33% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.83% or 25.0 points to trade at 1390.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 1.24% or 0.3 points to end at 24.4 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.05% or 300.0 points to 29000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.45% or 40.0 points to trade at 2725.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 0.98% or 10.0 points to end at 1010.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 0.81% or 15.0 points to 1830.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.31% or 0.43 to $139.80 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 3.02% or 60.50 to hit $1946.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1255.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.19% to 2867.48, while BRL/COP rose 0.51% to 914.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 100.98.
