Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 2.34% or 640.0 points to trade at 27980.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 0.88% or 10.0 points to end at 1140.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 0.80% or 300.0 points to 37680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.41% or 120.0 points to trade at 8400.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.16% or 280.0 points to end at 23820.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.14% or 120.0 points to 10420.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.74% or 1.05 to $142.43 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 4.32% or 83.50 to hit $2014.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.25 to trade at $1203.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.05% to 2984.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.34% to 946.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 101.25.
