Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.78% or 100.0 points to trade at 3700.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 2.72% or 480.0 points to end at 18120.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 2.35% or 700.0 points to 30540.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.30% or 0.5 points to trade at 21.2 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.61% or 400.0 points to end at 24500.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 1.29% or 480.0 points to 36720.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.28% or 0.39 to $137.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.45% or 31.00 to hit $2168.50 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.62% or 7.15 to trade at $1158.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.89% to 2975.16, while BRL/COP fell 0.94% to 911.09.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.82% at 103.21.
