Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.48% or 20.0 points to trade at 1375.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 1.36% or 460.0 points to end at 34200.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 1.16% or 300.0 points to 26200.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 5.19% or 32.0 points to trade at 584.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.09% or 30.0 points to end at 2710.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 0.80% or 0.2 points to 24.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.48% or 1.91 to $126.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.61% or 29.50 to hit $1808.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.59 to trade at $1215.79 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.43% to 3075.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.51% to 945.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.54.
