Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.55% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.73% or 540.0 points to trade at 31680.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.71% or 20.0 points to end at 1190.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.69% or 20.0 points to 1200.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.70% or 240.0 points to trade at 8640.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.15% or 30.0 points to end at 2580.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 0.71% or 80.0 points to 11200.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.56% or 2.13 to $134.27 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.13% or 2.50 to hit $1954.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.78 to trade at $1224.68 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.61% to 2926.08, while BRL/COP rose 0.17% to 930.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.50.
