Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which rose 4.74% or 55.0 points to trade at 1215.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) added 2.10% or 25.0 points to end at 1215.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.69% or 600.0 points to 36160.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 0.84% or 5.0 points to trade at 593.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 0.51% or 120.0 points to end at 23200.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 0.32% or 80.0 points to 24900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 5 and 9 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.95% or 1.39 to $144.43 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.27% or 30.50 to hit $2370.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.45 to trade at $1172.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.33% to 3084.05, while BRL/COP rose 2.00% to 901.40.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.58% at 100.17.
