Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.90% or 25.0 points to trade at 1340.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 1.73% or 1060.0 points to end at 62360.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.65% or 20.0 points to 1235.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 1.72% or 70.0 points to trade at 3990.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 0.93% or 10.0 points to end at 1065.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 0.84% or 20.0 points to 2350.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.00% or 1.57 to $158.55 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.24% or 6.50 to hit $2694.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.52% or 6.55 to trade at $1263.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.45% to 2907.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 911.74.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 97.89.
