Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which rose 2.67% or 620.0 points to trade at 23880.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 2.25% or 420.0 points to end at 19100.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 2.03% or 400.0 points to 20140.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 1.71% or 480.0 points to trade at 27660.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 0.37% or 40.0 points to end at 10780.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 0.28% or 5.0 points to 1810.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.28% or 0.39 to $141.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.81% or 16.50 to hit $2031.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 2.14% or 25.75 to trade at $1226.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.60% to 2922.73, while BRL/COP fell 2.06% to 937.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.07.
