Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.06% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 2.32% or 640.0 points to trade at 28200.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.12% or 220.0 points to end at 10580.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.75% or 600.0 points to 34900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 0.10% or 1.0 points to trade at 997.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 584.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 24.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 2 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.55% or 0.70 to $127.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.50% or 9.00 to hit $1817.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.10 to trade at $1219.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.89% to 3048.44, while BRL/COP rose 0.50% to 949.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.51.
