Aug 18 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1900 GMT on Tuesday:
** Taiwan-based Catcher Technology 2474.TW , a supplier to Apple Inc AAPL.O , has agreed to sell two units of its Lyra International division in China to Hunan-based Lens Technology Co 300433.SZ for $1.43 billion, a company filing showed. Fortum FORTUM.HE has raised its stake in German peer Uniper UN01.DE to 75.01%, Uniper said, enough to implement a domination agreement which would give the Finnish energy firm access to all finances and cash flow. Bain Capital clinched a $1.2 billion deal to buy Japanese nursing-home operator Nichiigakkan after fending off a higher, last-minute bid from rival Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA). Veolia VIE.PA is in talks to buy sanitation networks maintenance firm OSIS from rival Suez SEVI.PA for around 298 million euros ($354 million), the French water and waste management utility said. Oracle Corp (NYSE:ORCL) ORCL.N has joined some of the investors of TikTok's Chinese owner, ByteDance, in pursuing a bid for the popular short-video app's operations in North America, Australia and New Zealand, according to people familiar with the matter. BHP Group BHP.AX , BHPB.L said it plans to sell its 50% stake in the Australian Bass Strait oil and gas venture as it seeks to focus on its higher-value petroleum assets.
