Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Retail and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 10.29% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) added 6.67% or 0.002 points to end at 0.032 and Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) was up 6.33% or 0.005 points to 0.084 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 8.00% or 0.002 points to trade at 0.023 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 6.62% or 0.039 points to end at 0.550 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 4.67% or 0.014 points to 0.286.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 35 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) fell to all time lows; falling 8.00% or 0.002 to 0.023.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.50 to $1131.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.91% or 0.85 to hit $45.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.87% or 0.89 to trade at $48.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1237, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7416.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 96.12.
