Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 2.14% or 80 points to trade at 3820 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 1.89% or 26 points to end at 1399 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 1.78% or 290 points to 16540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.71% or 114 points to trade at 4088 in late trade. Teva (TA:TEVA) declined 1.91% or 360 points to end at 18450 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.23% or 8.8 points to 708.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 156 and 101 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $44.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.55 to trade at $1323.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.19% to 3.7567, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.2037.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.62.
