Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Telecoms and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 2.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.35% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.50 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 7.09% or 0.5 points to end at 7.8 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 6.43% or 17.3 points to 286.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 1.75% or 0.10 points to trade at 5.60 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 0.93% or 0.9 points to end at 98.8 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) gained 1.00% or 0.29 points to 29.29.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 142 to 36 and 11 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.73% or 0.80 to $47.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.59% or 0.76 to hit $48.53 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1318.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 9.4108, while USD/NOK fell 0.62% to 8.5198.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.42.
