Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 7.44% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 2.84% or 4.90 points to end at 177.50 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) was unchanged 2.22% or 0.00 points to 0.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atacocha (LM:ATB), which lost 5.28% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.251 in late trade. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 4.46% or 0.007 points to end at 0.150 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 3.69% or 0.090 points to 2.350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.28% or 0.13 to $45.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $48.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.24 to trade at $1268.66 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.14% to 3.2760, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.97.
