Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 3.00% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.103 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) unchanged 0% or 0 points to end at 0.610 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which lost 13.27% or 0.065 points to trade at 0.425 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 10.48% or 0.022 points to end at 0.188 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 10.31% or 0.023 points to 0.200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 1 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.53% or 1.30 to $35.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $37.52 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3465, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7977.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 94.59.
