Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.97% or 11.00 points to trade at 568.00 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.36% or 2.9 points to end at 215.9 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.08% or 5.2 points to 488.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which lost 1.41% or 2.0 points to trade at 140.1 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.23% or 1.70 points to end at 136.00 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 0.94% or 0.80 points to 84.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 280 to 269 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.17% or 0.49 to $41.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.37% or 0.16 to hit $42.94 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1234.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.28% to 9.1939, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 8.1219.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 94.44.
