Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 3.69% or 4.70 points to trade at 132.20 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 2.03% or 2.9 points to end at 145.5 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.45% or 1.20 points to 84.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 0.99% or 4.40 points to trade at 439.60 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 0.92% or 0.75 points to end at 80.80 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 0.64% or 0.18 points to 28.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 275 to 241 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.41% or 0.17 to $41.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.46% or 0.19 to hit $41.73 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1247.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.34% to 9.2286, while USD/SEK fell 0.05% to 8.2322.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.69.
