Tietto Minerals Ltd continues to serve up high-grade gold results from infill and depth extension drilling at AG Core, part of its 3.45-million-ounce Abujar Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, further increasing the size and confidence of the gold resource.

Assay results reported from 16 diamond drill holes for 4,832 metres have now been returned, with the best hit this round intersecting 19 metres at 21.94 g/t gold from 270 metres.

“Our exploration team continues to deliver high impact holes from our diamond drilling at AG. The latest high‐grade intercept of 19 metres at 21.94 g/t gold from 270 metres (ZDD13880) is the third highest gold intercept hit at AG Core and the fourth highest gold intercept for the Abujar Gold Project," Tietto managing director Dr Caigen Wang said.

“We now have 17 intervals greater than 200 gold gram metres at AG Core, including the project best intercept of 8 metres at 393.59 g/t gold from 38 metres, including 1.1 metres at 2,853 g/t gold which was drilled earlier this year."

Drilling ongoing

The latest results will be included in Tietto’s next mineral resource estimate (MRE) update planned for early next year.

Other highlights include:

  • 12 metres at 2.71 g/t gold from 266 metres, including 4 metres at 6.90 g/t gold (ZDD1354 – Section 18);
  • 13 metres at 1.72 g/t gold from 255 metres, including 3 metres at 5.41 g/t gold (ZDD1371 – Section 18A); and
  • 16 metres at 1.26 g/t gold from 251 metres, including 5 metres at 2.55 g/t gold (ZDD1323 – Section 15C).
Assays are pending for 69 holes totalling 12,000 metres, with more than half from step‐out drilling.

Tietto is carrying out further drilling at AG Core to assess the potential below the planned Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) open pit and test the limits of gold mineralisation, which is still open at depth.

“Spectacular high-grade gold intercepts”

“Owning our diamond drill rigs will allow us to drill around 120,000 metres of core this calendar year at the same time as our build team executes the build at Abujar," Dr Wang said.

“These drill results demonstrate the potential of the high-grade shoots that are prevalent at AG Core to continue to deliver spectacular high-grade gold intercepts. We will incorporate all drilling intercepts reported into the next resource update, expected early in 2023 to allow inclusion of all results from our expanded program.

“We have no debt with zero hedging and are fully funded to production at Abujar, which has potential to be one of the largest gold producing mines in Cote d’Ivoire, with an expected production of more than 260,000 ounces of gold in the first year and 1.2 million ounces of gold in the first six years.

“Tietto has an experienced team on board to deliver Abujar on time and on budget. Shareholders can expect further updates from our aggressive diamond drilling program as we advance our dual strategy of 'drill and build' and develop our Abujar Project into West Africa's next gold mine, with first gold by the end of Q4 2022."
