Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Technology and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.43% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 9.17% or 0.210 points to trade at 2.500 at the close. Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 4.27% or 0.57 points to end at 13.92 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 4.10% or 0.050 points to 1.270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which lost 3.65% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.900 in late trade. Otokar (IS:OTKAR) declined 2.44% or 3.50 points to end at 140.10 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) shed 2.39% or 0.230 points to 9.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 129 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.45 to $1234.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.43% or 0.77 to hit $54.55 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.65 to trade at $56.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.6281, while EUR/TRY fell 0.66% to 3.8228.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 101.45.
